Get Involved - What you can do about it

State officials want you to believe it’s inevitable that YOU will fix their mistakes.

They’re wrong.  Leaders from all over the state are rising up to fight.  So can you.  Here’s how...

  1. Contact your state legislators.  Tell them to fix their own problems without punishing you and your family. Type in your address in the box at the top of the screen to get a list of your elected officials. When you click on the links for your state delegates and senators, you'll be directed to a page that has their email address. Tell them you are paying attention to their decisions and that you want them to STOP the SHIFT to keep your police, fire, parks and other services, and to prevent tax increases.
  2. Sign our petition.  Let them know there are a LOT of us who feel the way we do.
  3. Read our blog.  We will keep you up to date on our fight as well as how your state legislators are responding to you.
  4. Sign up for our email blasts.  Keep informed on the latest events.
  5. Attend our rally!

Nothing is inevitable.  Together, WE CAN WIN!

ENDORSEMENTS

"We, the undersigned organizations, are opposed to shifting costs for state pensions to county governments. The proposal that has been introduced in the Governor's budget would cost county governments $1.6 billion over the next five years alone. It would force counties to cut local services that residents depend on, from education to parks to arts and culture to libraries to human services to transportation. We call on the General Assembly to protect our community by opposing the shift."
